About Our After-School Program
Program Overview
In our 6-week program, students in grades 3–5 get acquainted with music in the best way possible — by making it! Using everything from 5-gallon bucket drums to real hand drums, xylophones, and ukuleles, kids jump right into rhythm, teamwork, and creativity. Together, students learn one to two songs and may have the chance to share their music at the end of the program.
Connecting communities through music.
Through partnerships with local schools, The Groove Dojo brings engaging music programs directly into the community. While we’re independently operated, our shared goal is simple: give more students access to the confidence, creativity, and joy that music brings.
Six weeks. Skills for life.
Our 6-week music program helps elementary students develop life skills through hands-on music-making. Students practice listening, following directions, collaborating with peers, and performing with confidence — all while having fun and staying engaged.
